Established in 2021, the Ceylon Sugar Industries and Holdings (Pvt) Ltd. with a knowledgeable and experienced Board of Directors, has been working towards establishing a modern integrated sugarcane industry in Sri Lanka. It will bring the latest sugar technologies available in the world to make the industry the most efficient to contribute to economic development of our country by harnessing the potential of sugarcane not only by producing sugar as a sweetener and a source of energy for the people but also as a source of renewable energy for the nation to minimise the use of fossil fuel use for electricity generation which causes harm to the national coffer and the environment. In addition, the company has planned to produce various sugarcane and sugar-based value-added products to contribute more to income and employment generation in an environment friendly manner. All products of the company will have the Brand “Ceylon”.
Furthermore, all activities of the company will be undertaken for safeguarding the environment to ensure equity for the present and future generations. It will also ensure equity for sugarcane farmers by offering a fair price for sugarcane. The company will also fulfil its social responsibilities to the sugarcane farming community by carrying out various welfare programmes and providing essential social facilities such as health, education, transport, etc.
Our company considers that our most valuable asset is its employees, and they will be looked after well to keep them happy with the company and have a team spirit. The “Ceylon Sugar Team” will be directed towards achieving the highest productivity and carrying their responsibilities with happiness.
